I think the 10" is the same as the 12 in that respect.

They came in a coffe can.I think I am missing some parts to make the second compound spindle and also some parts to make up an idler spindle.Just a little different machine than those covered in that book.I do have a chart in the machine cover, but it is small,worn,and beat up.

I have that book, it is a great book (IMHO ) but it does ot cover the atlas lathes that do not have quick change gearbox.I only have manual change gears. I could use a original operators manual and parts book for one of these to see how the gear systems are to be set up.Any one ever use one of these?It's pretty darn old though, probably from mid 30's from what I can see and I believe it is a model 10 or a 10D at least that is what is stamped in the gear cover.
